While colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the US, it is also one of the most preventable. We recommend following the CDC guidelines for screening colonoscopy: regular screening beginning at age 50, or younger depending on individual risk factors, such as personal or family history of colon cancer or polyps, inflammatory bowel disease, or other factors that your doctor can discuss with you.
