Pediatrics
IVIG, or intravenous immunoglobulin therapy, is performed at Oak Brook Surgical Centre for autoimmune, infectious, and idiopathic diseases and disorders, including Kawasaki Disease, Guillan-Barré syndrome, and polymyositis/dermatomyositis. In addition, recent evidence suggests that IVIG is an effective treatment for certain neuropsychiatric disorders as well.
Pediatric patients are welcomed at Oak Brook Surgical Centre in other specialties as well. Our anesthesiologists, nurses, and tech have abundant experience giving the special attention that our most precious patients need, and many of the surgeons on staff have specialized training to care for them.
